My Poetry

I Will Set You Free

In the room where I sleep
now there are three,
The fireplace, a computer
a restless mind that's me.

A hot glow on the left,
a cold glow on the right,
With me drawn by nature's heat
and called by mankind's light.

Come back into the past
a million years or more.
Click into the future
perhaps at most a score.

The restless mind flutters
drawn strongly by gene,
To sit around campfires
to bond with kith and kin.

Yet the cold light of man
becons calling out to me,
Leave the warmth of fire
and I will set you free.
