notes: dictated 1933 when she was 72, died at the age of 84

This is being written at the request of my son, Earle Edward Eubank, at his home in Cincinnati, where he is head of the Department of Sociology of the University. This is an attempt to tell of the experience of my husband and myself as missionaries on the West Coast of Africa nearly fifty years ago.

Beginning, as I am, at the age of 72, it is not at all probable that I shall remember details as I might have done earlier in life. "Rather late in life to begin you say, and I quite agree with you; but it may be "better late than never." That remains to be seen. Echo may reply, "Better never." (Born at Sturgeon, Mo. Nov. 17, 1858 - Died April 11, 1943 D.F.Eubank)

Why did I not begin earlier? For many years after our return home, I was the busy wife of a busy pastor and had not time. But now that I am alone and living in the homes of our two children, I have more leisure and it may even prove and interesting pastime for me, if nothing more.
