This report has been prepared for the MidTESOL board meeting in Iowa City, Iowa.

Total Visiting Users: 4778 - total "sessions"
Unique sites served: 2771 - roughly equals number of individuals
Each user visited approximately 1.72 times. About 7% of the visits were by my own computer - as webmaster. Indexing "robots" were high users - although not all indexing is counted as "hits". Phyllis, Cathy, Adelaide and Tom also used the site often. Many computers (individuals) visited only once. My best estimate is that MidTESOLers that used the site may have visited an average of 7 to 10 times each.

Figures are totals for that hour on all days analyzed.

Unique documents served: 250 - "pages" + "images" + files

This section gives an idea of what was looked at on the site. Visitors to the MidTESOL website "vote" (show their interest) - every time they select a link to visit. Articles - especially practical, "how to" articles, the kind that could/should be written by EVERY E.S.L. teacher are the most popular on the site. Many visitors are coming to the site through the links in the search engines to the articles. The "The Catcher in The Rye" illustrates a very excellent symbiotic relationship between the website and the MidTESOL Matters. Conference Information will always place high. There should be much more of it on the site - right now - about the 1999, 2000 and 2001 conferences.
